Alligator Weaving and Writing

In Room 18 we have been reading the big book Mrs O'Malley's surprise. Mrs O'Malley wakes up in the morning to find lots of crocodiles in her backyard. She eventually gets them to leave and then discovers they have left a lot of eggs behind and they hatch. We wrote a letter to Mrs O'Malley telling her what we think she should do with the baby alligators.

Here is a sample of some of our letters to Mrs O'Malley:

Dear Mrs O'Malley,

I think you should look after them because they are baby alligators.

From Fourah

Dear Mrs O'Malley,

I think you should take them to their mum and dad. You should call the Alligator Man. They will be happy with their mums and dad.

From Dylan Nair

Dear Mrs O'Malley,

I think you should put the baby alligators in the zoo. Then people can see them and take pictures of them, and make a nice habitat for them.

From Cohen

We then made baby alligators using weaving. We found weaving very tricky but we got the hang of it in the end. The Alligators look amazing on our wall with our letters to Mrs O'Malley.
